TOWN OF BROWNVILLE NOTICE OF DOG ENUMERATION PROJECT
TO INCLUDE VILLAGE OF DEXTER, VILLAGE OF BROWNVILLE AND VILLAGE OF GLENPARK
As per the State of New York and Town of Brownville local law, all dogs residing in the Town and Village MUST be licensed
This is a notice that the Town of Brownville will be conducting a dog enumeration during the month of October. The Town’s Dog Control Officer and her Deputy will be going door to door doing the enumeration and issuing notices for all unlicensed dogs instructing the dog owner to come to the Town Clerk’s office to license their pet. There will be a $30.00 enumeration fee, along with the standard license fees of $15.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $25.00 for dogs that are not spayed/neutered. Dog licenses are issued at the Town Clerk’s office.
To license your dog, you will need a current rabies vaccination certificate and a certificate stating your dog is spayed/neutered.

The Village of Dexter Planning Board will hold a special meeting and public hearing on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 6:30pm, in the Conference Room of the Municipal Building located at 509 Liberty Street, to consider a special use permit application proposing a gift shop to be located at 107 Water Street. Anyone needing special accommodations to participate in the hearing, please notify the Village Office at least 3 days prior to the hearing.

PARKING
Whether there is snow or not, the parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all highways or between the sidewalk and the street within the village of Dexter, between 2:00 am and 6:00 am November 1st to April 1st, violators will be ticketed or towed or both.
Basketball hoops or any other obstructions within the Village Right of Way need to be removed. The Village will not be responsible for any incidents and or damages that may occur from such obstructions.

BUDGET NOTICE
On April 9, 2024 the Village of Dexter Board adopted the budget for the fiscal year June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025 a copy is on file at the Village Office, 509 Liberty Street, Dexter, NY 13634 and is available for viewing during regular business hours Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm.

MINIMUM WATER & SEWER BILLLING CHARGE
Beginning the April 1st through June 30th quarterly billing 2022, (reflected on the July bill), there will be a minimum quarterly bill for any water and or sewer account that is shut off. During the period which an account is inactive there will be no charge for water, sewer or refuse usage. However, the resident will still be responsible to pay their portion of the quarterly DANC and Water Debt $63.48 and or Sewer Debt $46.oo as do all active accounts in their regular quarterly water bill.
VILLAGE OF DEXTER PRIOR NOTICE LAW
No civil action shall be maintained against the Village of Dexter for damages or injuries to person or property sustained by reason of any highway, bridge, sidewalk or culvert being defective, out of repair, unsafe, dangerous or obstructed unless written notice of such defective, unsafe, dangerous or obstructed condition was received by the Clerk of the Village of Dexter; and there was a failure or neglect within a reasonable time after the giving of such notice to repair or remove the defect, danger or obstruction complained of.
